Astronomy fascinates nearly everybody and we want to provide a quality program right on your campus. We will cover benchmark material and cement concepts in ways that and reinforce your teaching efforts.

Turn your campus into an astronomical observatory !  Dunbar did it, YOU can too!

Hiking the Solar System is a mind boggling walk through a scale model of the home worlds based on The Pepper Corn Earth Model from Furman University.

Telescopes the origin history and workings of our greatest astronomy tool.

Day Sky the wonders of our Sun and how to safely observe phenomenon on the Sun’s surface.

Night Sky “nightly” guided tours of the constellations and tales of the related mythology.

Observatory Time “nightly” telescopic observing with giant professional level telescopes.

Telescopes and Astronomy Beginners Class helps parents and students, find the right stuff to     begin a lifetime interest in astronomy.

Our Equipment :  Blue Moon Traveling Observatory is fully loaded with state-of-the-art telescopes, binoculars, video cameras, atomic clocks, radio timing devices and computerized star location programs. Our main scope is “The Great Bear” a 20 inch diameter reflector. This scope is nearly 10 feet tall and captures images from the moon to the far reaches of the universe. A special low light high resolution, camera allows group observation of targets within our solar system. Observations can be recorded for classes to view again and again.  The “Sol Catcher” 80 foot focal length solar projection telescope and our 80mm refractor with white light solar filter make seeing sunspots and solar granulation both simple and safe.  Special pointing devices help astronomers point out celestial bodies for all to see in the real sky planetarium style shows provided each evening during your Sky School .

Your children deserve great programs we will bring the universe down to earth!

Please give Blue Moon Observatory a try!
